Chocolate bowls

  • 3 ingredients
  • 7 steps

Ingredients

  • 200 g dark melting chocolate
  • 4 small water balloons
  • Vegetable oil

Step-by-step preparation

  1. Melt the dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a pan of hot water on medium-low heat (a double boiler).
  2. Blow up the balloons and stand them in a bowl or tray so they stay stable.
  3. Coat each balloon with a thin layer of vegetable oil so the chocolate doesn’t stick.
  4. Dip the balloons into the melted chocolate, coating each one with a thick, even layer.
  5. Place the balloons on a tray lined with parchment paper and refrigerate for about 30 minutes, until the chocolate sets.
  6. Once set, carefully deflate the balloons by pricking them and letting the air out slowly.
  7. Carefully remove the balloon pieces from the chocolate bowls and keep the bowls in a cool, dry place until ready to use.

Enjoy your chocolate bowls! Fill them with fruit, ice cream, whipped cream or anything you like.
