Garlic green beans with tomato

  • 5 ingredients
  • 7 steps

Ingredients

  • 500 g green beans
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1 ripe tomato, peeled and chopped
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Step-by-step preparation

  1. Wash the green beans and trim the ends and strings. If they’re very long, cut them in half.
  2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the green beans and cook for about 3–5 minutes, until tender but still crisp.
  3. Drain the green beans and put them in a large bowl.
  4. In a large frying pan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chopped garlic and cook for a few seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add the chopped tomato and sauté for a few minutes until soft.
  6. Add the green beans to the pan and toss well with the garlic and tomato. Season with salt and pepper and cook for a few more minutes, until the beans are hot and have absorbed the flavors.
  7. Serve the garlic green beans with tomato hot, as a side for your favorite dishes.

And that’s it! I hope you enjoy these delicious garlic green beans with tomato.
